Colson Kelly or Machine Gun Kelly is best recognized for his unique way he raps. Baker, who was born 22nd April 1990 at Houston Texas U.S. to the family of English Scottish and German ancestry, is renowned for his unique style of performing. His parents were missionaries, and throughout his childhood, Baker traveled extensively along with them. The dad James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed while his mother Sonia Alane left them when the age of nine. Then, Baker along with his father moved to Denver in the area where they stayed together with his father's aunt. Baker was a target of bullying because he lived in poverty by the other kids. His compositions are known to blend contemporary hip-hop and rock music with alternative music. Baker has released four mixtapes over between 2007-2010, prior to joining Bad Boy Records. With lyrics that are as fast of a bullet train this Cleveland rapper experienced a meteoric increase in the latter half of 2011 as Baker made the switch from releasing self-released mixtapes to working with well-known labels. From there his career skyrocketed and each album being ranked among the top 10.
