Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority decision. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007, an award of bronze in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She won 3-0 following in the second round TKO. The following two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing, and took a long time off from MMA. She came back in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui with the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in the same decision. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's formidable strike abilities allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was able to sign the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi in a split decision, after winning her first fight. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
