Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spiky blonde hair and a exuberant personality, shares easy techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding geography. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable learning experience for me. It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian culture and cuisine throughout her time in Italy, which has influenced her style of cooking. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate in which she has a mission to raise awareness for the condition of children with diabetes. She frequently travels around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne has stated throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to share with others what is essential to her.
